It is located in the Pacific Region of the United States. This state is considered as the third most populous in the United States with a population of 39.5 million residents.

For most of the 1990s, Oakland was considered as one of the most dangerous cities in the US. Fast forward to today, according to surveys, the crime rate in Oakland, California has exceeded 1,421 per 100, 000 residents. Just this 2016, 49 people were killed mercilessly.

Apparently, there are only specific areas where it is dangerous in Oakland. It is in the “West Oakland” which is located starting from the downtown area north up to the old Army Base. Another part is in the “East Oakland” which is located starting from the 73rdAvenue South up to the San Leandro border. These areas have the highest crime rate all over the city.

It is in the person’s discretion if they want to live in Oakland. However dangerous this city may be, there are still some areas where it is safe to stay. After all, danger can happen anytime and anywhere.
